Travel between Moroccan cities with a private driver

Morocco’s best trips connect several cities: the medinas of Marrakech and Fès, the Atlantic coast at Essaouira and Agadir, the blue streets of Chefchaouen and the Sahara dunes at Merzouga. Trains do not reach most of them and buses run to fixed timetables, so a private van with a local driver is the simplest way to travel at your own pace.

Each destination page explains what the city is like for visitors, the trips most groups book from there and the routes that connect it to the rest of the country. Driving times are long in places (Marrakech to Merzouga takes most of a day), which is why many travelers book the same driver for several days.

Pick a city to see verified drivers who cover it, or request a custom trip with your own stops: drivers send you a price and you choose.

Questions about travelling around Morocco

Which Moroccan cities can I book a driver in?

Kalonca drivers cover the main tourist cities, including Marrakech, Casablanca, Fès, Rabat, Tangier, Agadir, Essaouira, Chefchaouen, Ouarzazate and Merzouga, plus the routes between them.

Can one driver take me across several cities?

Yes. Request a custom trip with all your stops, or book one route at a time. Many groups keep the same driver for a multi-day itinerary.

How long does it take to drive from Marrakech to the Sahara?

Marrakech to Merzouga is about 8 to 10 hours on the road. Most travelers stop in Ouarzazate or the Dadès Valley on the way.

Is a private driver better than the train?

Trains are good between Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech and Fès. A private driver takes you door to door, with luggage, and reaches places trains do not, like Chefchaouen, Essaouira, the Atlas and the desert.

Can I add stops on the way?

Yes. Add stops when you request a custom trip, or agree them with your driver in the booking chat.
